Our track record speaks volumes

1996 Hamburg businessmen and textile professionals, Henning Brandt and Kersten Kruse, founded the embroidery company Brands Polska sp. z.o.o. in the village of Somonino, near Gdansk in Poland. The textile embroidery business was continuously expanded with new finishing techniques. These techniques include textile screen printing, foil transfer and flock transfer printing, sublimation printing for polyester jerseys, laser engraving on fleece and softshell materials, and pretty much any other form of appliqué, embroidery and printing you can imagine.

Brands Polska also built up a small clothing business, manufacturing made-to-measure aprons, jackets, waistcoats and a wide range of other apparel in small runs of 50 or more items. The company has its own warehouse with 1,500 pallet spaces, where the Brands standard collection (plain T-shirts, polo shirts, sweaters and jackets) are held available so that they can be embroidered or printed on short notice within a few days in the event of rush orders from customers with corporate logos. Today Brands Polska is run by Kersten Kruse and employs about 120 people.

2002 Brands Fashion GmbH was founded as a textile trade and service company in the town of Buchholz in Lower Saxony, Germany. Textile specialist, Dr. Ulrich Hofmann, also joined the company in the role of managing partner, bringing with him, among other things, an extensive network of suppliers in Europe (Turkey, Poland, Portugal) and the Far East (Bangladesh, China, India, Indonesia, Pakistan).

By 2002, Brands Fashion had established itself as one of the leading textile specialists in the fields of work ware, athletic gear and promotional items. As Brands Fashion grew, so did its list of national and international clients.

2005 Brands Fashion acquired the company Warp&Weft GbR in the town of Münster in North Rhine-Westphalia and founded the sales office Brands Fashion Münster, Germany, with former owner of Warp&Weft, Carsten Ulmer. This office primarily serves major sports customers as well as the western German market.

2009 Brands Fashion received ISO 9001 certification, thereby publicly documenting the high quality standards that Brands Fashion demands of products and processes. Since then, all processes have been subject to annual re-audits, ensuring ongoing quality assurance and catalyzing improvement.

2010 Brands Fashion joined the European Business Social Compliance Initiative underscoring its commitment to the promotion and improvement of sustainability and social fairness in the textile production industry. Since then, the production facilities have been regularly audited and certified by independent auditors.

2012 Brands Fashion opened an office for quality assurance in Dhaka, Bangladesh, under the management of a German clothing engineer. The office in Bangladesh allows better assurance of quality and production control in this key sourcing country.

In 2012, Carsten Ulmer joined Henning Brandt and Dr. Ulrich Hofmann on the management board of Brands Fashion GmbH. The warehousing capacity at the Buchholz site was also increased to around 7,000 pallet spaces.

2017 Brands Fashion opened the U.S. Headquarters, Brands Fashion US Inc. in Charlotte, North Carolina under the leadership of Hendrik Lohkemper. The headquarters has a warehouse with 16,000 sq. ft. and 2000 pallet spaces. Thanks to the success of the country in Germany and abroad, the US headquarters started with a few customers both in the US and other countries.

Although Brands Fashion US Inc is new to the states, Brands Fashion continues is reputation for green, sustainable fulfillment by acquiring its GOTS certification.
